bacteria and toxins. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thousands of alerts are produced each year, but there was no international system to monitor them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The new easy to use computer tool can be used to monitor contaminated products.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The programme could also be applied to other global health hazards such as pest control, illegal animals or plant imports. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Michelle Quinn spoke to Professor Declan Naughton, who led the team that developed the programme.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;object
